Close your eyes and dream of entering an ample, modern and elegant space where an old lab of slate used to be. A place that has been now transformed into a sophisticated and stylish space.
When entering Cava Arde, imagine an ancient slate quarry near the lab, a hidden and fascinating place in front of the green valley surrounding it.
Now open your eyes, and you will realise that it’s not only a beautiful dream, but it’s a reality: it’s Cava Arde.
Cava Arde is at Isolona- Orero, a valley located between the Ligurian coast and the mountains and crosses forests, churches and perched villages.
This valley is Val Fontanabuona, known for the many quarries from which slate – the stone symbol of this part of Liguria- was and is still extracted.
Given its proximity to Recco, Rapallo, Portofino, bright beauties of the Gulf of Tiguillo, and to the unspoilt nature, Cave Arde is considered a romantic and evocative location perfect for hosting any kind of events, making them unforgettable.

Cava Arde is an incomparable charming location ideal for hosting public and private events, ceremonies, weddings, corporate dinners, musical evenings and many other special occasions.
It’s a fun, dynamic and perfectly organised place with first-class members of staff.
Thanks to an exceptionally equipped kitchen, a large dance floor, and a classy bar corner, in the renewed internal and external spaces, it’s possible to organise lunch and dinner of all kinds, using both our kitchen and external catering services.
Not only that: the site may host music and artistic events, corporate conventions, gatherings and other festive events. For every event, you can combine a guided tour in the only slate quarry open to the public in Val Fontanabuona and security-safed by the painstaking work of experienced geologists.
We also organise special musical and dancing nights directly inside the quarry for a truly unique experience.
